St. Giles CE Primary School

St. Giles Church of England (Aided) Primary School

Life at St. Giles CE Primary School

COVID-19

School is only open to the children of critical workers whose families have no safe alternative childcare arrangements, and to 'vulnerable children' as defined by the government.

We are emailing, calling and texting parents on a daily basis with updates. Please do not phone the school as the lines are not being monitored. Instead, use the info@stgilesprimary.org.uk email address.

We are in the process of organising hampers for families currently eligible for Free School Meals (this does not include Universal Infant Free School Meals) over the Easter holidays. These can be collected on Friday 3 April between 12 noon and 2pm from the kitchen - please observe social distancing guidelines of 2m (as in shops) when collecting.

After Easter, there will be vouchers available for these families for use in local supermarkets.

Please email info@stgilesprimary.org.uk to book childcare provision, or to order a Free School Meal - these can be collected form the kitchen, or delivered if you are self-isolating.

Please communicate with your child's teacher via the class email system, or via Google Classroom.

If you are feeling anxious about anything, our pastoral team of Mrs Binney and Miss Hollis are monitoring help@stgilesprimary.org.uk.

Children have Home Learning packs, and have all been invited to engage with an online learning platform called Google Classroom, where tasks, challenges, stories and much more can be found.

We are intending to open school for the children of critical workers over the Easter break.

Once you enter our full website, some of this information, and much more, can be found on our Facebook page. The link for this can be found on our Home page.

Thank you, and stay safe, and God bless.

Jesus said,”Love one another just as I have loved you..... John 13:34

Gracious and loving God

We pray that you will

- strengthen our compassion and empathy

- keep us strong in body, mind and spirit

- help us to pray for those in need especially the sick, the elderly and those in isolation at home

- to care and love one another

This we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. Amen
